Greg James and Alice Levine launch new podcast with Persephonica

Due to overwhelming public demand, Greg James and Alice Levine are finally monetising their friendship. Introducing... Bad Chat.

Greg James and Alice Levine announce their new podcast, Bad Chat, from the award-winning production company, Persephonica.

Join the former colleagues, now legal Next of Kin, talk like nobody's watching, except the whole thing is filmed in HD and shared across every podcast platform.

Episode 1 will release on Thursday 7th May, and every Thursday onwards until the inevitable fallout from spending too much time together.

It's a club for the pair (and their listeners) to share the 'best-worst' parts of the week; shame spirals, existential crises, petty grievances, mild injustices — and this is just Greg's morning. The show promises to be forensic about the trivial and dramatic about the inconsequential, bringing together a community of over-thinkers.

Call in, email in, fax in (yes, we have a real life working fax machine) with your obsessions, confessions, digressions and they'll take it from there.

Email hello@badchatclub.com, message via WhatsApp on 07775 199 566 or leave a voicemail on our answerphone: 0333 011 2814.

Greg and Alice's friendship started on the radio, and has thrived off-air for 13 years. It seems they can't resist working together; developing the world's biggest podcast festival, Crossed Wires, and now finally launching their own show together.

Alice and Greg will enter the (bad) chat every Thursday from 7th May.

Bad Chat is produced by Persephonica, an award-winning production company with a track record of creating hugely successful, genre-defining podcasts. Their notable productions include Miss Me?, hosted by Lily Allen and Miquita Oliver; the chart-topping Dig It with Jo Whiley and Zoe Ball, the internationally successful Dua Lipa: At Your Service; and the Westminster essential Political Currency.

"It’s been about five months since I last launched a podcast and honestly I was getting jittery. It seems absurd that Alice and I haven’t done a show together until now and I’m hoping it wasn’t for good reason. Let’s see."
 — Greg James, Bad Chat co-host

"It felt like Greg really needed a win, so I said I'd do a show with him. He couldn't believe it, you should have seen his little face. He called me a 'sweet angel sent from heaven' and I just sobbed."
— Alice Levine, Bad Chat co-host

"We pride ourselves on working with the world's biggest talent so it's nice to take a risk once in a while."
— Dino Sofos, Persephonica CEO
