Key Responsibilities
You will oversee production teams to deliver regular output across multiple shows. You will be responsible for ensuring each show is staffed appropriately and that deliverables are met on time and to a high standard.
You will be responsible for signing off the content and will have high standards, sound editorial judgement, a strong knowledge of media law and an eye for detail.
You will identify ways to grow the shows on RSS and social platforms - including YouTube - and will bring a passion for deepening audience engagement.
You will work with our Development lead to pitch new ideas for current affairs shows, attract new talent and win business.
You will work with the wider team to ensure production kit and resources are well managed.
You will work closely with the Finance team to ensure shows are delivered on budget.
Requirements
You will have at least three years’ demonstrable experience in a senior role with clear evidence of shows you have created and grown.
We're looking for someone with significant journalistic experience and exceptional editorial judgement.
You will have a strong journalistic drive with the ability to identify stories and tell them in creative and innovative ways.
You will be a highly-organised team player and a great communicator with the ability to manage a project with tight deadlines.
You will be confident in running studio recording sessions and using equipment such as Rodecasters. You will have experience recording on location and will be able to teach more junior members of staff.
You will have audio and/or video editing experience.
You will have experience of working in busy and demanding environments.
You will have experience in audience engagement and community management, curating content for platforms like Patreon and Substack.
You will have experience in supporting upcoming production talent and editorial staff.
You will have experience in working with high-profile talent and big name guests, and an impressive black book.
