The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing our studio in London and acting as the technical lead for video production across the company. Working closely with our production teams, you will ensure the smooth running of our in-person and remote recording sessions, maintain technical standards, oversee file management and studio operations, and continually improve our recording workflows and infrastructure.
Work with our Production and Operations Assistant to manage and maintain our studio and remote recording equipment, ensuring all kit is properly logged, maintained and fit for purpose. This will include supporting equipment procurement and working with the finance team to ensure budgets are met.
You will be asked to deliver full video edits for some of our shows.
Identify opportunities to improve our video production workflows, technical systems and operational processes. You will also assist with the sourcing and management of freelance video staff to ensure productions are appropriately resourced and delivered to the highest standard.
You will contribute technical expertise and production insight to development discussions, helping shape ambitious and achievable video plans for new and existing projects.
The Ideal Candidate will...
Be a highly capable, technically accomplished and organised video professional who enjoys working across multiple projects and takes pride in maintaining exceptional production standards.
You will have a minimum of three years' demonstrable experience working across podcast, broadcast, YouTube or digital video productions, with responsibility for both technical delivery and post-production.
Be highly confident operating professional camera, lighting and audio setups, including multi-camera productions, and able to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively. Experience working with Canon and Sony camera systems is preferable.
Have extensive experience designing, operating and troubleshooting remote recording workflows using platforms such as OBS and Riverside, with a strong understanding of recording quality, technical resilience and production best practice.
Be extremely proficient in video editing and have experience supporting and developing less experienced members of staff. Knowledge of Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects is essential. Knowledge of other software including OBS, Descript and Riverside is preferred.
Have a strong understanding of how long-form video translates across platforms and how to maximise the reach and impact of our content through effective editing and distribution.
Have experience working with high-profile talent and big-name guests.
Be a highly organised team player and excellent communicator, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Be comfortable working in fast-paced and demanding production environments while maintaining consistently high standards.
