The Show
This is a listener-powered entertainment podcast built around the instincts of highly experienced broadcasters and podcasters. It blends personal storytelling, comedy and audience interaction to create a show that feels alive, immediate and communal.
The show will be fully visualised, with video playing a central role in how the content is experienced and shared. Beyond the podcast itself, it is designed as a 360 show brand - one that builds a genuine community across the podcast, social platforms, message boards and live events.
The Role
You will be a key creative voice on the production, working closely with the hosts and a small production team to shape episodes from idea to delivery.
This is a hands-on role for a producer who:
Thrives in fast-paced, personality-led environments
Is confident working with contributors, callers and listener submissions
Understands how to build and nurture communities - both through audio and on social platforms
Can spot great moments as they happen and help turn them into standout audio and video
Advanced technical abilities - can set up a studio, operate a desk and edit audio to a high standard. The ability to edit video is preferable
Is editorially experienced and knows where the line is
Key responsibilities include
Working with listeners and contributors to generate compelling content
Producing studio and remote recording sessions with top-tier talent
Editing and delivering polished, premium episodes
Working closely with video and social teams to create culture-cutting moments
Helping grow a highly engaged audience across podcasts, social media and wider community spaces
Managing commercial client relationships, including delivering sponsorship campaigns for brands
The Ideal Candidate will...
Have at least 5 years’ professional experience producing successful entertainment or comedy podcasts or radio shows (excluding student work or placements). The ideal candidate will have been the lead producer of a podcast or radio show
Ideally have experience producing live radio or TV, including handling callers and audience interaction
Have experience building and engaging communities through audio and social media
Be excited by visualised podcasts and have some experience of TV, video or digital video content
Be deeply passionate about radio, podcasts and comedy, with sharp editorial instincts
Be confident generating and developing ideas independently
Have advanced audio editing skills (Adobe Audition preferred)
Be fully across pop culture, including late 90s / 00s references and current trends
Have experience working with high-profile talent
Understand media law and best editorial practice
Have a strong instinct for social moments and engaging copy
Be highly organised, collaborative and calm under pressure
Be confident running studio and remote recording sessions
